Ivan Wiener

With over 30 years of experience in hospitality and entertainment, Ivan has become a key resource and go-to person for above-the-line talent, producers, directors, and executives working in New Mexico film and television. Since 2006, he has owned and operated Reel Solutions which has been noted as the most experienced, trusted, and discreet personal service company in the state. Reel Solutions provides airport meet & greet services, personal assistance for talent and other clients visiting or working in New Mexico, and consulting for productions that saves time and money for clients through Ivan’s vast network of contacts.

Ivan is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Albuquerque Film + Music Experience (AFMX) which began in 2013 with the support and participation of friends Robert Redford and Sibylle Szaggars-Redford. With an incredibly supportive community, AFMX has become one of the top film and music experiences in the country. Past participants include the likes of Jeff Bridges, Marisa Tomei, T Bone Burnett, Sharon Lawrence, Nathan East, Eric Clapton, Snuffy Walden, Giancarlo Esposito, Bryan Cranston, Samuel L. Jackson, and Ali McGraw.

Ivan began his hospitality career with Hyatt Hotels & Resorts at the Grand Hyatt Washington, DC in 1992. He quickly found his calling when he became a Les Clefs d’Or Concierge. He went on to become the Head Concierge of the historic Watergate Hotel, and later offered personal concierge services to Washington Sports and Entertainment under Abe Polin and Michael Jordan. This led to an expansion of his company to all Washington/Baltimore area sports organizations, visiting sports teams, actors, musicians and entertainers.

After moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2001, Ivan returned to the hotel industry by becoming Director of Concierge & Guest Services at the newly built Hyatt Regency Tamaya Resort & Spa. Within two years, Ivan’s department was recognized as #1 in the company for overall guest satisfaction. In 2004, Ivan became part of the corporate training team for Hyatt. He went on to become a Sales Manager for the property in 2005, overseeing the mid-Atlantic region, and the entertainment industry market.

After a total of 13 ½ years with Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, Ivan left the hotel industry and became personal assistant to actor Dennis Hopper. Since 2010, Ivan has been a producer on several short films, television shows, documentaries and commercials, and is now producing feature films and documentaries. His latest project is a feature film titled Moses on the Mesa (

Over his career, Ivan has worked with some of the biggest names in film, television and entertainment, but has only been star struck once – when Eartha Kitt sat on his lap and sang happy birthday to him at Blues Alley in DC.
